Situated at the height of 2708 meters above sea level, Narkanda is surrounded by majestic Himalayan Mountains. The view of the valleys is simply breathtaking and the places hold a raw beauty. Sarahan is a small village in Himachal but also a place with unexplored beauty. The place has many temples and hilly trails; you can explore it in a great vibe. Kalpa is a mesmerizing town with breathtaking valley views. Situated in the mountain range, the snow-capped mountains transport you to another world of fantasy.

TOUR ITINERARY

 Day 1: Chandigarh to Shimla (120 Kms. / 3-4 Hours)
Stay: Shimla
After reaching Chandigarh, drive towards Shimla. On the way enjoy the resplendent Pinjore Gardens and the ever enchanting Cable Car Ride at the Timber Trail. (The entrance fee to the Pinjore Gardens and the cable car ride will be at the actual and not part of the package). Arrive Shimla & check into the hotel. Evening free to explore the local market. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 2: Shimla to Sarahan
Stay: Sarahan
After breakfast, head to Shimla from Sarahan via Kufri. You can take a halt at Rampur for lunch. Once you reach Sarahan and check into your hotel, you can rest for some while. Visit the sightseeing options in Sarahan that includes Srikhand Mahadev Peak. This place houses the famous 800-year-old Bhimakali Temple. You can view the amazing sunset and get a panoramic view of the place from this peak in the evening. Attend the evening Aarti at the temple for a divine experience. Head to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03: Sarahan to Sangla & Sangla Sightseeing
Stay: Sangla
After breakfast, check out from the hotel & drive towards Sangla. Leave for the Bhimakali Temple at Sarahan. Counted amongst the famous 51 Shakti Peethas, the temple is very sacred to Hindus. Continue your drive to Sangla to reach your destination in the evening. Choose to stay in a luxury tented accommodation or a hotel. Post refreshment; enjoy a walk through Kamru and Sangla villages where you visit the beautifully carved old temples and Buddhist monasteries. Here, you’ll get the chance to interact with local people and listen to their stories. The Sangla valley is also known as the Baspa Sangla valley, after river Baspa which flows through the valley and it is the part of Kinnaur valley. Spend an overnight stay in a hotel in Sangla.

Day 04: Sangla – Chitkul Sightseeing
Stay: Chitkul/ Sangla
Post delicious breakfast, you’ll visit Sangla, Kamru village to witness the charm of Kamru Fort where you visit the Kamakhya Devi Temple. Being a populous and fertile village, Sangla is located at an altitude of 2621 mts above sea level and at a distance of 17 kms from Karcham. Echoing the scenic beauty of the gigantic Raldang Peaks, from Sangla reach Chitkul – the inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan border. Located along the famous Baspa valley, Chitkul has terrain and green vegetation on the slopes. Also, get a chance to catch the glimpse of the mighty Mt. Kinner Khailash from here. Drive back to Sangla for an overnight stay.

Day 05: Chitkul/ Sangla to Kalpa & Kalpa Sightseeing
Stay: Kalpa
After breakfast, check out from the hotel & drive towards Kalpa from Sangla. Halt at Reckong Peo where you can explore the offerings at the local market. Lunch at the local restaurant, where you can try Indian as well as Tibetan cuisine. Reach Kalpa & visit Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village. Covered with thick pine forest and apple and apricot orchards, these villages get you a chance to hobnob with the spectacular view of Mt. Kinner Kailash is located at an altitude of 6000 mts above sea level. It has all the characteristics of a heritage village. Kalpa came into prominence in the wake of British Governor General Lord Dalhousie’s visit in the 19th century overnight stay at the same hotel at Kalpa Valley. Overnight stay at Kalpa.

Day 06: Kalpa – Nako – Tabo 3,050 Meters / 10010 feet (190 Kms./ 9-10 hrs)
Stay: Tabo
Drive to Tabo which is about 9-10 hrs drive from the Kalpa valley. On the way, you can explore Puh, Nako, and Gue villages “the last Indian village on Indo-Tibetan border. There, you can visit the naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk about 600 years old. Upon arriving on Tabo, check into hotel. Stay at Tabo.

Day 07: Tabo – Dhankar – Pin Valley – Mud Village – Kaza (3,200 Metres/ 10,500 feet)
Stay: Kaza
In the morning, get ready to explore the mysteries of Tabo Monastery. The oldest monastery of the Himalayas stores some of the most priceless collections of scroll paintings, manuscripts, murals and fresco. After exploring this ancient Village, buckle for rid ahead to Kaza. It is a three hours’ drive to Kaza while halting at Dhankar village in between. After that drive towards the beautiful Pin Valley. Imagine a national park with an abundance of animals and birds, with some rare plant varieties, a river that gushes when it isn’t frozen and trekking opportunities for the adventure-seekers. The Pin Valley promises all this and more. By evening, drive to Kaza, the commercial capital of the Spiti valley and spend the night in a hotel.  On arrival check into the hotel room, freshen up and feel free to explore the local market in the evening.

Day 08: Kaza Local Sightseeing
Stay: Kaza
After breakfast, if the weather conditions permit, you can drive to Hikkim, which is the highest located village in the world. Later in the day, continue the drive towards Kee Monastery, Langza and then drive on the world’s highest motorable road towards Komic (4560 m), Chicham Bridge Chicham Bridge is India’s highest road span crossing approximately 150 meters above a tributary of the River Spiti in the Himachal Pradesh region. Chicham Bridge is also touted as the “world’s highest bridge” which is a partial truth as the deck is in fact located 13,596 feet / 4,145 meters above sea level even if the deck height is not the highest. and the Kibber village. During the afternoon, you can dine at the restaurant with a choice of Indian and Tibetan delicacies. Return to Kaza in the evening to spend your night at the hotel.

Day 09: Kaza – Losar – Kunzum Pass – Chandratal (4,250 Meters)
Stay: Chandratal
After an early morning wake up, you will reach Chandratal Lake while passing through Kunzum La (4551 m). where most travelers stop to pay respects to the deity and pray for a safe journey. Night will be spent in a campsite about 1 km from the lake. Meaning of Chandrataal is Moon Lake and is a major attraction of Spiti.

Day 10: Chandratal – Rohtang Pass (If Possible)/ Atal Tunnel – Manali (170 Kms./ 9-10 Hours)
Stay: Manali
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. After that drive towards Manali. Driving through Batal, Chota Darra, Gramphu and Rohtang pass (3978 M). The route is highly picturesque and once you cross Rohtang, the terrain gets much greener as it receives heavy rainfall. In evening I reached Manali & check into the hotel. Stay at Manali.

Day 11: Manali Local City Tour
Stay: Manali
After breakfast, head to the Manali local city tour and other sightseeing spots. This includes a visit to Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple (By Walk), Vashisth Village, Vashisth Natural Sulfur Water Hot springs, visit Jogini Waterfall (It’s Trekking route of 20- 30 Minutes by walk from Vashisth), Club House, Van Vihar Nature Park, Old Manali and Tibetan Monastery. In evening you can shop at Mall road and IBEX market before heading to your hotel. Stay at Manali.

Day 12: Manali to Chandigarh (320 Kms./ 9-10 Hours)
Night:- No
Today morning enjoy breakfast at the hotel & drive towards Chandigarh. On the way visit Kullu (River Rafting at your own Cost), Vaishnoo Devi Temple, Hanogi Mata Temple, Pandoh Dam, Mandi & SunderNagar Lake. In the evening arrive Chandigarh & you will drop at Chandigarh Airport/ Railway Station with wonderful scenic shots and memories of Himachal. The tour will leave a smile on your face for sure………….
