TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive Srinagar & Transfer to hotel & Local Sightseeing by Cab
Stay:- Houseboat, Srinagar
Welcome to Srinagar, the Lake City. On arrival at Srinagar Airport, being your tour of Paradise Kashmir’. You will be transferred to Houseboat. In the evening leisurely stroll alongside Dal Lake exploring the local markets. Later in the evening, proceed for a Shikhara Ride in Dal Lake (On your own Cost). Overnight stay at the Houseboat.

Day 02: Srinagar  Local Sightseeing by Cab
Stay:-  Srinagar
After breakfast, check out from the Houseboat  & transfer to hotel. After that proceed on a city tour visiting the Shankaracharya temple situated on the highest hill of Srinagar, the famous Mughal Gardens- Chashmashahi, Nishant & Shalimar. These gardens were Mughal Emperor’s concept of Paradise and today these are popular picnic spots. Also visit a handicraft shop where you can purchase local Hand Crafted items-Shawls, Jackets, Bed Covers, Paper Mache, Carpets & much more! In the evening, you can leisurely stroll local market. Dinner & Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 03: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar

Today you embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque ‘meadow of gold’ Sonmarg. Sonmarg is the last stop of Kashmir district. From here starts the territory of  Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 2743 Mtrs. above sea level. The fast flowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and masher fishing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in snow and ice (by your own payment). Return to the Hotel in Srinagar in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 04: Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar

In the morning drive to Gulmarg, the meadow of flowers. The route from Srinagar to Gulmarg is fascinating.  You will be mesmerized by its beauty. Gulmarg is famous all over the world for Skiing and Snowboarding. During the British Raj, Gulmarg hosted the Britishers and Europeans and as such they created a European hill resort and named it Gulmarg. In Gulmarg you would be able to find European surroundings and 18-hole Golf Course and enjoy Gondola Cable Car Ride world’s highest and Asia’s longest cable car (at your own cost). Enjoy photography, horse riding and shopping at this beautiful snow point and enjoy a gondola ride to Kongdoori & Appahrwhat. In the evening, I returned to Srinagar. Return to the Hotel in Srinagar in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 05: Srinagar to Pahalgam by Cab
Stay: Pahalgam
After Breakfast you will be transferred to Pahalgham, the ‘valley of shepherds’ which is situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from river Lidder and Sheshnag Lake. En route visit the Awantipura ruins, an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and built by King Awantivarman. On arrival into Pahalgam enjoy the surrounding beauty or walk to Baisaren, which is about 2 km from Pahalgam. A small village set in pine and fir forest is pleasing and offers a good view. Night halt at Hotel in Pahalgam.

Note : In Pahalgam outside vehicles are not allowed for sightseeing. Only local taxis can roam around within Pahalgam city. All outside vehicles will pick up & drop from Hotel.

Day 06: Pahalgam Local Sightseeing (By Your Own)
Stay: Pahalgam
In the morning you will proceed to Aru valley, and chandanwari by car (at your own cost). Aru is a small village, 11 kms upstream the Lidder River, is a beautiful locality. The route is picturesque with ample campsites. This village is the starting point for treks to the Kolahoi glacier. The most beautiful of these is the huge, undulating meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine. Hajan and Beetab valley on the way to chandanwari. Night halt at Hotel in Pahalgam.

Note : In Pahalgam outside vehicles are not allowed for sightseeing. Only local taxis can roam around within Pahalgam city. All outside vehicles will pick up & drop from Hotel.

Day 07: Pahalgam to Katra by Cab (230 Kms./ 7-8 Hours)
Stay: Katra
After breakfast, check out from the hotel & drive towards Katra. Arrive Katra & check into the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 08: Katra- Vaishnoo Devi Darshan- Katra
Stay: Katra
Morning after breakfast trek / Horse ride from Katra to Mata Vaishno Devi Darshan (15 Kms one way). Back at Katra for Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 09: Katra Local & Shiv Khori  Sightseeing- Katra/ Jammu Drop
Stay: No
Today morning after breakfast, proceed to cover Katra Sightseeing including: – Shivkhori, Baba Dansar and Naudevi Darshan. After sightseeing return back to Katra & you will drop at Katra Railway Station
